This supervolcano, although extinct, contributed in part to the famous Yukon gold rush. During its active phases, fluids from its magma chamber migrated upwards towards the surface, depositing large quantities of gold and silver. It was active for more than 2 million years, and today contains abundant concentrations of valuable metals. This video will discuss this volcanic complex, which is one of the little known volcanic features within Yukon.
